“Peri De” (“now concerning…”)
This was
one of Paul’s grammatical means to introduce a new subject.
1 Corinthians 7:1 Now concerning the things
whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
1 Corinthians 7:25 Now concerning virgins I
have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath
obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
1 Corinthians 8:1 Now as touching
things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge
puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
1 Corinthians 12:1 Now concerning spiritual
gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1 Corinthians 16:1 Now
concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to
the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
1 Corinthians 16:12 As touching our brother
Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will
was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have
convenient time.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to
be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not,
even as others which have no hope.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the
seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
