Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 19, 2026

Grace Bible Studies ("Grace Bible Studies," "we," "us," or "our") is a nonprofit ministry that shares free, grace-oriented Bible teaching. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you use our apps and our website, www.gracebiblestudies.org.

Summary

  • Our apps do not require an account, sign-in, or registration.
  • Our apps do not show ads and do not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.
  • Your notes, highlights, favorites, reading plan progress, listening history, and settings stay on your device and are not sent to us.
  • The only personal information an app sends us is feedback you choose to send, and only when you press Send.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Scope

This policy applies to the apps published by Grace Bible Studies:

  • Grace Sermons (Grace Bible Studies), our teaching app for phones, tablets, computers, and TVs (Android, Apple devices, Windows, Amazon Fire TV and Vega, Google TV, Roku, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, VIZIO, TiVo, Titan OS, JioSTB, and Whale TV), and our web player;
  • Grace Bible, our Bible reading and study app, including its TV versions with Bible audio and our web Bible reader;
  • Grace Prayer, our private prayer journal; and
  • Pilgrim Dash, our Bible-themed running game for children ages 6 to 12 (see Pilgrim Dash below);

as well as our Alexa skill and this website. It does not cover third-party websites or services that we link to, which have their own privacy policies.

Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following is kept in the app's private storage on your device. We do not receive it and cannot see it:

  • Grace Sermons: your playback position, favorites, recently played messages, listening time, sermon notes, and settings.
  • Grace Bible: your notes, highlights, underlines, favorites, reading history, Read Through the Bible plan progress, sermon notes, reading time, daily reading reminders, and settings.
  • Grace Prayer: your prayers, answers, and reminders, which are kept in an encrypted database on your device. Grace Prayer does not connect to the internet.

Verses, notes, and backup files leave an app only when you choose Share or Back up and pick a destination. Deleting the app, or using the app's clear or erase option where one is offered, removes this data from your device (exact behavior depends on your device platform; your phone's own device backup may include app data if you have turned it on).

Content Our Apps Fetch from Our Servers

Our apps include their catalogs and Bible texts, and download audio and related files over secure HTTPS connections when you use them:

  • message and Bible audio (MP3 files) when you press play or listen; and
  • live-words files (_TS.json) that sit beside the audio and let the app highlight the words as they are spoken.

These files come from gracebiblestudies.org and, for teaching from partner ministries, from their own sites (such as merrymanministries.org, willmarbible.org, bibleframework.org, and itwdenti.fieldnet.org). Like any internet request, the server receives technical information such as your IP address, the file requested, the date and time, and basic device or browser details (user agent). Servers may record this in standard server logs that we use only to deliver content, keep the service running, and protect it from abuse. We do not use this information to identify you or build a profile about you.

Feedback You Choose to Send

Grace Sermons and Grace Bible have an optional Feedback page. In versions that send feedback from within the app, if you press Send, the app sends the following to the Grace Bible Studies website (gracebiblestudies.org):

  • the message you wrote (required);
  • your name and email address, only if you choose to type them;
  • the app name and version, the platform (for example Android, Fire TV, iOS, or Windows), and the device (manufacturer and model); and
  • the time it was sent.

This is stored in a database on our web server. It is not sent by email, and we use it only to read your comments, answer you if you included an email address, and improve the apps. If the app cannot reach our server, it can offer to open your own email app with the message filled in, addressed to aaron@gracebiblestudies.org; nothing is sent unless you press Send in your email app.

Some app versions do not send feedback from within the app. Instead, the Feedback page offers to open your own email app with a message filled in, or to open our website App Feedback page in your browser (see below). When it opens the website page, the app passes only the app name, version, and platform in the page address so the form can be filled in for you. Nothing is sent to us unless you press Send in your email app or on the website page. Grace Prayer and Pilgrim Dash have no Feedback form.

Third Parties and App Stores

  • No analytics or ads. Our apps do not include advertising, analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting libraries, and they do not use advertising identifiers or track you as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
  • App stores. Apps are distributed through app stores and device platforms such as Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, LG, Roku, VIZIO, TiVo, Titan OS, JioSTB, and Whale TV. Those companies may collect information (for example, installs, downloads, device diagnostics, ratings, or crash reports you choose to share) under their own privacy policies and share standard reports with us, such as install counts, that do not identify you.
  • Alexa skill. If you use our Alexa skill, your voice requests are processed by Amazon under Amazon's privacy policy. The skill uses the request only to respond to you, does not ask for your personal information, and does not save information about you in a database after your session ends.
  • Links. Links you tap open in your browser, an app store, or another app, which then follow their own privacy policies.

Pilgrim Dash (children's game, ages 6 to 12)

Pilgrim Dash is a Bible-themed running game from Grace Bible Studies, made for children ages 6 to 12.

  • Played offline, no account. The game works without an internet connection and has no accounts, sign-in, chat, or social features. The Android app does not ask for network access.
  • We do not collect or share personal information. Pilgrim Dash does not collect, send to us, sell, or share any personal information from children or parents. We do not collect names, email addresses, locations, photos, contacts, device identifiers, or any other personal data through the game. Game progress and settings are saved only on the device.
  • No ads, no purchases, no tracking. The game contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no analytics, and no advertising ID, and it does not use third-party tracking or marketing tools.
  • Parental gate. Before a child can reach the parent area or follow any link that leaves the game (including this privacy page), the game asks an adult to complete a short challenge.
  • Links. The only link in the game is to this privacy page, and it opens in your device's web browser after the parental gate. Our website's own practices are described elsewhere on this page.
  • Parents. Because the game collects no personal information, there is nothing for us to review or delete. Parents with questions can contact us as shown under Contact Us. If we ever change how the game handles information, we will update this section before the change takes effect.

App Feedback Page (website)

If you use our App Feedback page, we receive the message you type, your optional name and email, the app name, version, and platform shown on the page, the device description on the form (which you can edit or clear), your IP address, and browser type. We use it only to respond to you and to fix problems. We keep it for up to 12 months and do not sell or share it. The page uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam; Google may receive your IP address and browser details for that check. This page is part of our website, not the apps.

Our Website

  • Contact form. If you use our Contact page, we receive the name, email address, and message you enter, and whether you asked for email updates. On the Contact page this is delivered to us by email (app feedback is handled separately, see above). We use it only to respond to you and, if you opted in, to let you know about new series and apps. You can ask us to stop sending updates at any time.
  • Server logs. Our web server keeps standard logs (such as IP address, pages or files requested, date and time, referring page, and browser type) to operate and secure the site.
  • Cookies and similar technology. The site may use cookies that are necessary for it to work. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and includes Google's site tag (gtag.js), which may be used for Google Analytics to understand overall site usage. Google may receive your IP address and set cookies when these load; see Google's Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. These apply to the website only, not to our apps.
  • Donations. The apps contain no donation or payment features. Where you choose to give on our website, online gifts are processed by third-party providers (such as Zeffy, Stripe, and PayPal) on their own websites. We do not receive or store your full card or bank details. The provider may share with us information such as your name, email, gift amount, and date so that we can record your gift and send receipts. Please review each provider's privacy policy.

How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information only if required to: (a) comply with the law or respond to lawful requests or legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of Grace Bible Studies or others; or (c) act on a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect the personal safety of any person. Service providers that help us run the website (such as our web host and email provider) may process information on our behalf.

Children's Privacy

Pilgrim Dash is made for children ages 6 to 12 and collects no personal information (see Pilgrim Dash above). Our other apps and our website are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through any of our apps or our website. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a Feedback form, an email, or our Contact page, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention and Security

We keep feedback and contact messages and donation records only as long as needed to respond, improve the apps, maintain our email updates list, and meet legal and nonprofit record-keeping requirements. Server logs are kept for a limited time. Apps use HTTPS to download content and to send Feedback. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle.

Your Choices and Deleting Your Data

Data stored on your device is under your control: clear it in the app or uninstall the app. To have us access, correct, or delete information you sent us (such as a Feedback message with your name or email, or a Contact message), or to remove you from email updates, contact us as shown below and tell us what you sent and, if you can, the app and approximate date. We will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live (for example, California or other U.S. states, or the European Economic Area and United Kingdom), you may have additional rights under local law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of.

International Users

Grace Bible Studies is based in the United States. If you send us information from outside the United States, it will be processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our apps, website, or practices change. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. If we make a material change, such as adding analytics to our apps, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.
